Strategic foresight is the ability to take on a long-term view and navigate through possible futures. This approach allows organizations to face uncertainty and detect signals of change that will require new strategies and actions in order to thrive and succeed.
Design thinking is a proven approach to problem solving that begins with exploring and defining a problem before generating and zeroing in on solutions. As a facilitator, I work with teams and organizations to execute this process in a highly collaborative and iterative way.
Design research involves primary research with real people in order to foster a human-centered design approach. Qualitative research methods can be used to elicit insights about the real challenges users are experiencing, in order to solve the right problems.
As a consultant at Kalypso, I work to inspire creativity and curiosity in clients by leading them through breakthrough innovation methods. Bringing three years of experience as a researcher I have expertise in foresight, design thinking and facilitation. Prior to Kalypso, I worked at KerrSmith, a multidisciplinary innovation studio in Toronto and gained experience in the public and private sector with clients including MunichRe, the Ministry of Transportation Ontario, TD Bank, Creative State Michigan and Metrolinx. I have a Master’s degree in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD University and am a member of the Association of Professional Futurists and the World Futures Studies Federation.
